Two new chapters of the upcoming BGCI’s Manual on Planning, Developing and Managing Botanic Gardens have been made available here:

Chapters 3 covers the key topic of collection policy and implications for plant records.
Chapter 4 gives an overview of the international legislative framework and its impact on plant collections (Nagoya Protocol, CITES, CBD, plant variety protection…).

Although designed for botanic gardens, the manual contains information that could be valuable for smaller specialist collections.
