Nursery resilience against Phytophthora

A workshop was held in October 2016 at the headquarters of APHA (Animal and Plant Health Agency) on ‘Improving nursery resilience against threats from Phytophthora’.

A report on the workshop, as well as copies of the presentations are available here: http://www.forestry.gov.uk/fr/BEEH-AGMJ6R

The workshop was part of a collaborative research project, PHYTOTHREATS, involving seven institutions from across Britain, which is running from April 2016 to March 2019. The main objectives of the project are to examine the distribution, diversity and community interactions of Phytophthora in UK nurseries, provide the evidence base for a voluntary nursery ‘best practice’ accreditation scheme, identify and rank global risks and gain a greater understanding of the evolutionary pathways of Phytophthoras.
Please see http://www.forestry.gov.uk/fr/phytothreats for further information.

A 2nd workshop will be held in October 2017.
